Life, Rewritten: Meet Melinda Parkhurst

Creating with Heart, Living with Intention

This month’s Life, Rewritten guest is someone dear to my heart. Melinda and I first met over 15 years ago through dance, and over the years, our paths — and creative collaborations — have often aligned at the intersection of movement, creativity, and mindfulness.

She’s a true renaissance spirit: an artist, photographer, dancer, model, gardener, and coach who brings soulful presence to everything she does. Whether through coaching or her art, Melinda holds space for others to uncover their authentic voice and craft lives rooted in meaning, expression, and possibility.

What I admire most about Melinda is how fully she shows up — there’s a sense of integration, of wholeness, that makes her presence deeply grounding and inspiring. In our conversation, we explore her own journey of becoming, how she supports others in reclaiming their voice, and what it really means to live an authentic life.
